Starting today, Facebook is implementing a new feature to help increase the visibility of newly released music videos (PMVs). Introducing the “Share to Stories” feature. Here is the recap…
Facebook launches Share to Stories feature for music videos
What does it do?
The “Share in Stories” feature will automatically generate a 10-30 second Facebook Story using a snippet of newly released music videos. Fans can then tap on the story to watch the full PMV.
Although Facebook started rolling out the feature starting today, it won’t be fully available to all users until August 16.
Plus, here’s what you need to know:
- Stories automatically created by this feature can be deleted by the artist at any time.
- This feature will only work for new versions once launched.
- The story will automatically post shortly after the PMV goes live on Facebook. (Manual FB story post time setting is not available at this time.)
- Artists who do not wish to participate will have the option to opt out of automated posting in the page settings.
